Town of Cooperstown well water testing available Tuesday May 25, 2010
Water Testing Program – Due to ongoing water issues in the area, possible land use changes that could impact groundwater quality, and the DNR’s recommendation to test your water annually, Clean Water Testing, LLC of Appleton, WI will be offering well water testing services to area residents on Tuesday May 25th from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. Residents from the Town of Cooperstown as well as neighboring towns are encouraged to take advantage of this offer. This is an optional program, so if you choose to participate you will be responsible for the cost of the testing. Bacteria nitrate and arsenic tests are available for the discounted price of $15.00 each. Additional testing packages will also be available. Clean Water Testing will be at the Cooperstown Town Hall at the NE corner of County Z and Rosecrans Road. If you wish to test your water, stop by the Town Hall that day to pick up a sample kit. You will be asked to take the kit home, fill up the sample bottles, and return it to the Town Hall that same day with payment. A full explanation of the testing options, pricing, and any other questions can be answered at this time. If there are enough participants, an educational meeting about your drinking water will be held 3-4 weeks later.
