October 26, 2009 Special Town Board Meeting
TOWN OF NEW DENMARK
SPECIAL MEETING of the TOWN BD
OCTOBER 26, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
A special meeting of the Town Board was called to order on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Krueger.
COMMENTS OR CONCERNS FROM THE PUBLIC
Gary Moore states he would recommend in the future if a party is making a zoning request that the owner of the property afford a letter stating they are the legal owner of the property and authorize another agent to act as a legal representative on their behalf. Such as Ken Miller on behalf of Prince of Peace or Steve Zeitler as agent for whomever. It would be beneficial to a letter on file to ensure they are authorized to act on behalf of the property owner. Just a recommendation. Steve Olsen would like to see such a letter when an application is submitted to the Plan Commission. Kathy Janssen states pursuant to Wis. Stats. to take public comment once the Board moves into Agenda items, the Board must temporary suspend action in order to take those comments and then make a motion to continue with business.
NEW BUSINESS
ADOPT ANNUAL BUDGET FOR 2010: Working meeting of the Town board conducted on October 19th and public comments held prior to commencement of meeting. Motion by Sup. Goetsch and seconded by Sup. Rabas to adopt and accept the Annual Budget for 2010. MC
RURAL INSURANCE – APPROVE LIABILITY POLICY: Sup. Goetsch reviewed deck sheets of Rural Mutual policy and inquired of local agents for competitive quotes, but it is difficult to locate agencies that insure municipalities. Coverages are similar to what the Town had in 2009. Motion by Sup. Goetsch and seconded by Sup. Rabas to approve and renew Rural Mutual policy. MC Check #10962 issued in payment.
CULVERT PERMIT: Culvert permit presented by Tom Riemer of 6036 Pine Grove Road. Request to increase size of driveway off of Pine Grove Road in order for combine to access field to remove corn. Motion by Sup. Rabas to review and recommend size of appropriate culvert, seconded by Sup. Goetsch. MC
REVIEW AND PAY INVOICE FOR BIELINSKI EXCAVATING: Work still not completed as of last week. Ronk Road, culvert not fixed. Motion by Sup. Rabas to table until work is completed. Seconded by Sup. Goetsch. MC
Motion by Sup. Rabas to reschedule November 9, 2009 Town Board meeting to November 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Seconded by Sup. Goetsch. MC
Motion by Sup. Goetsch and seconded by Sup. Rabas to adjourn meeting at 7:45 p.m. MC
